Belize Resort Tours

Belize premiere Jungle Resort

Caves, wildlife and Extreme Advenutre

Belize is teeming with adventure activities and the Cayo district is considered the mother of all adventure tours from mystical caves to wild life sanctuaries to extreme adventure activities, Cayo has it all.

Cave Tubing

Cave Tubing in Belize allows you to become one with nature while taking a short journey through an ancient Underworld where the ancient Maya performed many sacred rituals. Guided by experienced Belizean tour guides, you will venture into the depths of the magical Belizean rainforest, tube down the refreshing Caves Branch River and through spectacular cave systems, which the Maya also believed were the dwelling place of many Mayan gods known as the Lords of Death. This is an exciting adventure you'll never want to end and one you will never forget.

Horse Back Riding & Jungle Hiking

Whether you're on foot or horseback, the front 100 acres of the resort offers a scenic and relaxing environment for your riding or hiking pleasure. Or strike out on a more extended riding adventure in the deep jungle with experienced guides.... .
Horseback into jungle to grand vistas. (Gentle horses for inexperienced)

Mountain hiking and jungle riding are just a few of the activities provided by Iguana Creek Resort and the beautiful country ofBelize. Horses, trail bikes, motorcycles, and jeeps can be rented for either half-day or full-day adventures.

Ride or hike our 800 acres of mature rainforest with beautiful scenery and major private mayan ceremonial sites.

Canoeing Belize River

Canoeing is another popular adventure at Iguanacreek Resort. TheBelize River winds its way up to the front door of the Resort and then turns back into deep and luscious Jungle. It re-emerges in three places as it continues on its winding path toward theCaribbean  Sea. That means easy access for our guests to see some of the wildest and most pristine animals and scenery inCentral America.

You can choose between a one (1), two (2), or a three (3) hour trip. You can paddle and explore on your own or relax and enjoy watching the Giant Iguana,  tapir, wild Mountain Cow, Gibnut (better known as the “Queens Rat”), Baboon and sometimes Wild Pig or Deer on the River bank. Or you can let your guide do the paddling as  you look and take pictures of the wonders of nature. Watch out that the Iguanas don’t jump in the canoe with you !!

Belize Zoo

The Belize Zoo and Tropical Education Center is home to a variety of indigenous Belizean cats and other animals kept in natural surroundings. In 1983, Sharon Matola was in charge of 17 Belizean animals during the second shooting of a wildlife film called Path of the Raingods. By the time thefilm was over, her animals were partly tame and might not have survived in the wild, so Matola founded the zoo.

Barton Creek Cave

From outside the Barton Creek Cave, you can see the enterence straight ahead. Barton Creek Cave is one of Cayo's many breath taking natural wonders. Located off the Chiquibul road this cave has become one Cayo's newest attractions. Access to the cave is through a picturesque Mennonite farm community.

In some places  you have to lay flat in your canoe to avoid the natural formations of the cave (below). Skeletal remains, large formations, and pottery can be seen as you travel close to a mile through the cave to one of the stopping points. Barton Creek tours last anywhere between 2-4 hours.

Black Hole Drop

A Rush like no other!!! The “Mother of all Caves” ... Actun Loch Tunich ...

It's now tried and tested and the results are Spectacular, Incredible ....

Stretch your comfort zone as you rappel down into a jungle sink hole deep in the rainforest. This expedition starts off with a vigorous hike into the foothills of the Maya Mountains.

The edge of the Actun Loch Tunich sink hole is over 300 feet above the basin below and 200 feet above the rain-forest canopy that grows out from the sink hole basin.

Actun Loch Tunich sink hole is not actually black but since you can't see the bottom from the start, this definitely adds an additional element of excitement.

Fully trained caving guides provide helmets and safety equipment as they rig a system of rappelling ropes for your decent to the basin below. The first 10 feet provides the adrenaline, the next 200 feet features an unforgettable experience and sights to behold, and the final 100 feet plunges you down through the rain forest canopy.

Feeling relief on reaching the bottom,
the question becomes - How do we
get out???

This expedition is not for the faint of heart and all participants must be relatively fit.

Ziplining Extreme

The Aerial Trek Zip Line at Jaguar Paw takes visitors on an exhilarating trip through the dense tropical rainforest canopy. Secured by a harness with feet dangling free, zip line riders will traverse from one suspended platform to next, whizzing past a stunning display of tropical flora and fauna, exotic birds and even black howler monkeys.

To finish the Aerial Trek, daring participants will repel to the rainforest floor from the final platform for a thrilling one-of-a-kind jungle adventure.

The zip trail includes eight platforms, complete with handrails and a double-cable zip line for added safety. Suspended approximately 70 to 80 feet from the ground, each landing platform is six feet in diameter and the platforms are set from 100 to 245 feet apart, allowing the zip line adventure to cover a lot of ground.
