8,000 Bay Palm leaves are cut by the hands of local workers. The thatched roofs create a rustic atmosphere and allow the peaceful sounds of the outdoors to wake you up and sing you to sleep. The Belize River lazily flows only 100 yards away from the resort.
The resort's hand-made doors and shutters are crafted out of mahogany and cedar by Belizean wood-workers. The tiles that floor the cabanas are also produced locally.
